Marshall is nationally recognized as a pioneer in the green building industry. In fact, in 2016 and 2017 he was named “Power Builder of the Year” by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for his Mirabella community’s eco-friendly design and construction and just recently he was awarded “LEED Visionary of the year 2019” bu the USGBC.
Mirabella, which consists of 158 sustainable homes in Bradenton, FL, received LEED Platinum certification, the USGBC’s highest mark of sustainability.
With the sellout of that Mirabella community, Marshall has now launched a new venture – Pearl Homes. With this new venture, Marshall is aiming to push green building even further with the creation of attractive, modern carbon-neutral homes.
Before pursuing his passion of creating true sustainable lifestyle experiences, Marshall established himself as a successful entrepreneur in fashion design and the garment industry.
Starting with a small apparel business, he transformed the company into an international enterprise, a process which included handling overseas supply chain logistics and fostering numerous key relationships. Ultimately, his company became one of the first ever private labels for a large, well-known retailer.
From there, Marshall’s professional experience branched out into other areas. For example, his company LagoInvest came to manage over 4,500 apartment units in Germany. Later, shifting toward a focus on hospitality, Marshall began supplying hotels across the US with furnishings.
This ended up giving him a network of firms and individuals across the globe that he could draw upon as he began pursuing his current passion of redefining sustainable housing.
